I tend not to learn from my mistakes.
Last year, I sold my BH Aero rig that enabled me to take a sub 9 ironman and took me to Kona Hawaii, without having a replacement. My standad supplier could not deliver a new rig though, so I had to buy an (excellent) Trek a week Before Celtman last year.
This year, I sold the Trek (i think the new user will have a great great time with it, because it is really a Time Machine.) – without having a replacement. Same thing – my supplier was out of stock also this year.
My initial thoughts was to do the coming Norseman on my road rig, but it didnt take long before it started to itch. There was an empty bike hanger in the garage.
So now I have a new rig inbound. Its a bespoke Merida, and I think it will be fast over Hardangervidda the coming August….
It’ll just need a new ISM saddle, or whats your say about that, Lars?
